We have lake access!

I’m very excited about this because I keep looking at the lake but can’t access it. Very annoying. We also found an old boat underneath brambles and grass while Barrie was still here. And also the paddles, in another place, of course. I wondered for days why on earth someone dragged it all the way up to the house and if it was still good. Well, today I was going to find out!

Because now I could drag it all the way down to the lake again without getting ripped up by brambles and other mean things with thorns. Funnily enough, exactly where i cut down all the plants, I found one of these nets on a stick kinda thingies, the ones that you use to collect plant debris floating on the water. So I guess I chose exactly the spot that someone else chose before me.  What are the odds ….

I was very happy about that net thing, because I was going to collect all the cut grass with an old kitchen sieve but this works much better of course!

The boat does not sink, it works fine, but I got my behind wet anyway. Because there’s no seat so it’s all a bit weird – I did a little round on the lake, collected some of the grass, sat in a puddle for a few seconds and then decided to give it a rest and try again tomorrow. With a seat of some sorts.

But that’s not all I do here, it’s not all about fun. I’m also massively clearing the overgrowth in all sorts of places, mainly around the house and caravan. And planning for the future as well. Because winter 2022/23 is right around the corner.
